Meghan Dambacher, Co-founder

When not ripping the North side of “the Box”, Meghan heads up sustainability and surfboard recycling efforts through Rerip.com. She is a 6-year Solana Beach resident who brings a touch of hippie and a dash of funk to the neighborhood… thanks to her previous residences in central California and New Orleans. She also works with kids at the San Diego Center for Children. On occasion, she can be found hitting the hill at Big Bear, but ONLY when the surf is really flat.

Favorite shred stick: 6’2’’ Ned McMahon
Home break:
  Secret Spots

Thoughts on Sustainability: “We just are so happy about the seemingly global interest in green right now. It is such an exciting time, full of innovation and consideration. Hopefully these themes will carry over to some of our social problems and we can involve everyone in this movement.”

Lisa Carpenter, Co-founder

As a co-founder of Rerip.com, Lisa spearheads site improvement efforts and assists with the overall functioning of the site. She worked for 10 years as a Solana Beach Lifeguard where she developed her respect for the ocean and a ton of skin damage. She got out of the sun but was lucky to be able to bring her love for the environment and the ocean into her work in Integrative medicine at Scripps in La Jolla.

Ripping equipment: 6’0” Whisnant
Home break/hill: Backdoor Pipe, Mammoth
Thoughts on sustainability: “What is good for the body is generally good for the planet when we think of foods, transportation, and consumption. Surfing is good for the body…and we need to challenge ourselves to make our equipment less damaging to our environment.

Eli Mirandon, Director of Marketing and PR

When Eli is not paddling out, he can either be found in the lineup or somewhere on the inside. As Rerip.com’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations (and in-house pro), Eli is a primary contact for events, press releases, and media. Born and raised at the beach, he is also a devoted snowboarder who has spent some time living and working on the mountain at Tahoe. In addition to his work with Rerip.com, Eli is a surf coach and student of life.

Current board: 6’2” Rusty
Home Break: Seaside, Blacks, and Del Mar
Thoughts on the "Green Movement": “I think it’s coming along. It’s inevitable that we all need to change our ways. I think we all need to share the knowledge we have, pass it on and keep learning more to keep surviving here on Earth.”

Aaron Taylor, Director of Local Promotions

Aaron is the Rerip.com street-team representative an in-house physicist. Originally from Redondo Beach, CA, he recently graduated from San Diego State University with a degree if physics and his eye on higher education (and Hawaii) for his future. He is an avid surfer, environmentalist, and socialite, promoting sustainability at every turn.

Rip stick surf:
Pat-O model T-Patterson 5’9” dream machine
Rip stick skate: Alva Old School Replica
Rip stick snow: M3
Home Break: Burnout in Redondo Beach.
Thoughts on the environment: “As Human beings we have only been around for 14,000 years and most of the Natural resources are within our capability to deplete in the next thousand. Scary, yes… but also with this same race of being we also have the power and knowledge to sustain them indefinitely. I am trying to help and do my part by supporting more research, promoting more reusable equipment, and trying to recycle as much of what already exists as possible.”

Jeffrey Lee, Director of Online Media

Jeffrey, a lover of all things leafy green, brings to Rerip.com a wealth of experience both in the green industry and in online media and filmmaking. Jeffrey heads up Rerips' filmmaking projects and directs the production of marketing materials. As an avid runner and yogi, he also brings some much needed namaste to the team dynamic.

Favorite shred stick: 6'2" Jimmy Keith
Thoughts on Sustainability: "Really?!! My thoughts on sustainability are simple: If we don't have a healthy environement / earth / planet, not much else is going to matter... I do understand that the sustainability movement can't and won't happen overnight but what is important is that we are making efforts and strides to think about our future, if not for us then for those who will inherit our world."

About RERIP.com

The sharing of available resources is the driving force behind all that we do at Rerip.com. Whether providing the best venue for the purchase and sale of equipment, making available locations to share information and ideas, or educating individuals about materials and construction, Rerip.com is about enhancing the community by sharing available resources, ideas, and opportunities. We are the first venue available catering exclusively to the surfing, skating, sking, and snowboarding community.

Rerip.com understands the importance of having the best and most functional equipment, and we also understand the need to be ecologically responsible by sharing the resources that already exist. The outdoors is the blood of our lifestyle. Our playground. Our sanity. No one has a better grasp on the need to preserve nature than those who spend the most time loving it.

Rerip.com is a resource created out of love for our natural resources for the benefit of those who love to ride the ocean, snow, and land. The goal is to provide an opportunity for individuals to reuse and reride equipment, while promoting awareness of the need to reduce our collective footprint on the world. Reduce. Reuse. Reride. Rip on…

Values Driven Business

Rerip.com is committed to giving back to the community by organizing The Future of Surfing, a special fundraising Event.  The day is dedicating to raising environmental consciousness and funds for local non-profits.  If you would like to be a part of this event or request more information, please email: meghan@rerip.com.

About Meghan and Lisa

Lisa Randall and Meghan Dambacher, co-founders of Rerip.com, are residents of North County San Diego and avid surfers. While spending time together conversing over mediocre waves at pillbox, strong coffee, and weak beer, Rerip.com was created. Both water lovers and active individuals, Meghan and Lisa sought to do something more for the environment than they could through their current efforts organizing beach cleanups and recycling. Aware of the amount of energy and waste involved in creating new ripping equipment, they knew there had to be a way to link the thousands of perfectly good boards sitting unused in garages all over the globe to individuals looking for "new" equipment.
